Hi, I'm Helen Salinas, the author
of Ponderings of Clay. I am a sinner saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I reside in northeast Wisconsin and I am a member of an
Orthodox Presbyterian church in the area.
Ponderings of Clay is a blog featuring
Christian poetry and articles. My posts are a reflection on things I am
learning in my walk with the Lord.
I am a student of the Word, learning from the Holy Spirit through personal
devotions and sermons. I am also sharpened by the godly counsel of others. My poetry often incorporates direct quotes from Scripture or paraphrases of verses. Unless otherwise noted, Scripture quotations are from The ESV® Bible (The Holy Bible, English Standard Version®), copyright © 2001 by Crossway, a publishing ministry of Good News Publishers. I have always
enjoyed writing. In July, 2015 I began
writing poetry as I went through some dark days. In April 2016, I published my
first blog post. Writing
the blog has been a blessing to me. It is by God's grace that I write.
I hope that God's light shines through my writing and that it is a blessing and encouragement to those who read it. The most important thing man can read, is the Bible, the breathed out word of Almighty God. His word is pure, holy, complete, and true. His word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105.) May my words point to Christ and his Holy word. To God be the praise, honor, and glory.
I often
find comfort in this passage: How
precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum
of them! If I would count them, they are more than the
sand. Psalm 139:17-18a
My blog reflects my thoughts about God and this is my prayer: Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer Psalm 19:14.
