Borne down by heavy
burdens; I cast my cares on You
Surrounding me is
darkness, blind men chained to sin
I have Your light
within me though it is often dimmed
My salt has lost its
savor; I fear I’ve gone lukewarm
I ache for those
around me, Your lost flock a wandering
I cry; I pray; a door
is opened but muteness overwhelms
I yearn to speak of
You, my Shephard; the everlasting Way
Savior, help me love
You more, keeping Your commands
Grow my love for
neighbors; please take my eyes off me
May I grab hold of
grace, made strong and not just willing
Increase my faith, emboldened,
proclaiming the good news
Father, may Your will
be done on earth as it is in heaven
Your word illuminates
dark souls, oh help this lantern shine
